Miss Harrison qualified as a teacher in 2001 after completing a BA (Hons) and QTS at Bath Spa University College. Since then, she has built a highly successful career as a teacher and leader in mainstream settings across South London. She brings a wealth of expertise in SEND, including establishing a specialist resource base for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties — a testament to her deep commitment to inclusive education.
In 2016, Miss Harrison joined STEP Academy Trust as part of the Senior Leadership Team at Tudor Academy in Croydon, taking on the role of Inclusion and Designated Safeguarding Lead. She has extensive experience mentoring and developing new SENDCOs and is currently co‑facilitating the NPQ SENCO course, supporting leaders across the sector to strengthen SEND provision.
Miss Harrison now jointly leads SEND as a Trust SEND Lead across STEP Academy Trust and is currently working with Park Academy. Her leadership is characterised by clarity, compassion and high expectations, ensuring that SEND practice is consistent, ambitious and firmly rooted in the Trust’s values.
