We were delighted to welcome Mr Ryan Raghoo, Team GB Wheelchair Rugby player, to Park Academy today. Mr Raghoo spent the morning with our pupils sharing his journey as an elite athlete and speaking with real honesty about resilience determination and the power of a positive mindset. His message about disability sport overcoming challenges and believing in yourself resonated strongly with children and staff and created a truly uplifting atmosphere across the school.
Throughout the morning pupils took part in engaging exercise activities that encouraged teamwork participation and healthy lifestyles. The excitement around the building was clear to see as pupils challenged themselves supported one another and embraced every opportunity to learn from Ryan’s experience. His presence brought a sense of inspiration that will stay with our pupils for a long time and many spoke about how motivated they felt after hearing his story.
This visit was a wonderful reminder of the impact that role models can have on young people. Ryan’s commitment to his sport and his ability to overcome adversity reflect values that sit at the heart of Park Academy. We are proud to offer experiences that broaden pupils’ horizons and help them understand the importance of perseverance kindness and ambition.
Thank you to all families for your continued encouragement and support. It makes a real difference to the experiences we can offer our pupils and helps us create opportunities that inspire them to achieve and thrive.
